Louisville VAMC Replacement

Project Goals

Deliver a high-quality federal healthcare facility that supports the VA’s Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) initiative—on time, within budget, and with Veterans' needs at the forefront. 

Scope

As the prime contractor, STEERBRIDGE is leading construction management for the new Robley Rex VA Medical Center. This includes oversight of critical EHRM infrastructure upgrades, design coordination, stakeholder engagement, and lifecycle support under complex federal requirements.

 This is an ongoing project.

    Building the Future of U.S. Currency: BEP Currency Productio

    Project Goals

    To deliver expert construction management for the Bureau of Engraving and Printing’s (BEP) new currency production facility in Beltsville, Maryland—replacing the outdated Washington, D.C. site with a secure, automated, and sustainable facility that meets the future demands of U.S. currency production. 

    Scope

     STEERBRIDGE, as prime contractor, provides construction management and engineering support across civil, mechanical, and architectural disciplines. Key responsibilities include:


    • Integration of advanced automation systems
    • Coordination of environmentally sustainable design practices
    • Enablement of IoT infrastructure
    • Compliance with National Capital Planning Commission (NCPC) federal design standards

    Outcomes

    The project has achieved 100% design completion and is preparing to enter the construction phase, reflecting strong coordination, compliance, and technical momentum.

      Currency Innovation, Built from the Ground Up

       As the prime construction management firm, STEERBRIDGE plays a pivotal role in the development of the new Bureau of Engraving and Printing currency production facility—a project that blends security, innovation, and sustainability.

      Canandaigua VAMC Infrastructure Modernization

      Project Goals

      To modernize aging VA infrastructure and enhance Veteran care by consolidating outpatient services and developing community-based living environments that promote healing, independence, and long-term well-being. support well-being and recovery.  

      Scope

      • Phase 1: Construction of a new 84,000 sq. ft. outpatient clinic, new chiller/emergency generator plant, site utility upgrades, temporary clinical support spaces, and selective renovations and demolitions.
         
      • Phase 2: Construction of a Community Living Center (CLC) complex with 8 long-term care cottages (96 rooms), a central community center, and additional renovations to support expanded care services.

        Reimagining Veteran Healthcare Spaces

        As the prime contractor, STEERBRIDGE, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), is leading the effort to modernize and expand the Canandaigua VA Medical Center. Backed by a team of Veteran construction managers, engineers, and architects, we bring unmatched commitment to this multi-phase infrastructure transformation. 

        Phase 1: Laying the Foundation for Modern Care

        Outpatient Clinic Consolidation: An 84,000 sq. ft. facility brings all clinic services under one roof, streamlining healthcare delivery and improving patient flow.
         

        • Chiller and Emergency Power Plant: A new utility plant provides resilient backup power and climate control—critical for uninterrupted care delivery.
           
        • Infrastructure Upgrades: Power, water, and utility systems were overhauled to modern standards. Temporary kitchen and lab spaces ensured continuity of care throughout construction.
           
        • Demolition & Renovation: Building 2 was removed; over 85,000 sq. ft. of existing space was renovated, and site access was improved via new roadways and upgraded utilities.

        Phase 2: Building Community-Centered Living

         

        • Community Living Center (CLC): A transformative care model—featuring 8 residential-style cottages (96 rooms)—replaces institutional settings with home-like, therapeutic environments.
           
        • Support Facilities: A new community center anchors the complex and provides social space for residents and families.
           
        • Campus Enhancements: Renovations to Buildings 3 and 9 and demolition of obsolete structures (Buildings 33 and 34) make way for new care functions, including a domiciliary for transitional support.

        To support the VA Office of Construction & Facilities Management (CFM) by delivering specialized electrical engineering studies and analysis through the Consulting Support Service (CSS) program—ensuring that VA infrastructure across the U.S. and territories meets the highest standards for safety, reliability, and compliance. 

        Scope

        As prime contractor, STEERBRIDGE provides expert construction management and electrical engineering support under Contract 36C10F22D0012. Our team supports facilities including:


        • Baltimore, Lock Raven, and Perry Point, MD
        • Puerto Rico and Hawaii
        • Additional nationwide VA Medical Centers (VAMCs)


        Key activities include:
